Use Lumen® Developer Center to access Lumen network and data APIs that are simple, global, secure, and reliable. Once you explore our APIs, you can register for access to Developer Center and then build apps to use our product APIs.

Ready to start using Lumen APIs? Let's get started:

  1. Explore our APIs.
  2. Register for a Developer Center account. (Get help registering)
  3. Sign in to Developer Center.
  4. Click CREATE APP and fill in information for the app:

    1. Type a name and contact email for the app.
    2. Select whether you want the app to expire after one year or two years.
    3. Select the environment you want to use for the app: Production (default) or Sandbox.
    4. Select the checkbox next to the API(s) you want to use in your app.
    5. Select the customer number you want to use for your app.
    6. Click SAVE.

      Developer Center creates the app, generates the key (Client ID) and secret (Client Secret) for the app, sends a request to the API team, and sets the status to Pending. Once the API team approves your app, Developer Center changes the status to Approved.

Important: Make sure to copy the information in the Client Secret field for your records. You won't be able to access it later in Developer Center. If you forget the client secret, you can reset it later.
